Conditions of Use

Warranty

Bowery Lighting does not itself warranty the products offered for sale on this website however all Lighting products are sold with the following manufacturer warranty: warrants to the first non-dealer purchaser of any of its products that they are to be free from defects in material and workmanship. If a product does have a defect, Bowery Lighting obligation is expressly limited to repair or replacement, without charge, at the factory after prior written return authorization has been granted. Bowery Lighting obligation under this warranty does not extend beyond the initial cost of the product and accordingly any consequential damages or labor costs arising out of a defect are expressly excluded. This warranty shall not apply to products that have been altered or improperly used. Notice of a defect must be received by Bowery Lighting within one (1) years from the date of purchase. Excluded from the one (1) year warranty are all light bulbs, which are warranted to perform satisfactorily to the industry standard burning hours rating, but in no case to exceed one (1) years. Also excluded from the one (1) year warranty are the HID ballasts, which are covered by separate manufacturers warranties. Bowery Lighting will not accept any responsibility or liability on the ballasts whatsoever.

Exchanges

Most manufacturers do not reduce return fees for exchanging product. Please contact Customer Service to inquire about exchange options. (You will receive an email response in 24-48 hours.)

Shipping

  • We offer free ground shipping for specific manufacturers in the 48 continental United States on any order over $49. All orders under $49 will be charged at least a $15 flat rate shipping fee. Any change in an order that brings the balance below $49 will result in an additional $15 shipping fee.
  • Shipping time averages between 2-21 business days after placing the order.
  • Charges for express shipping are based on total weight and dimensions.
  • Express shipping options are not available on orders made over the net.
  • Large orders may be shipped using freight depending on weight and size.
  • You will be advised of the total cost before shipping.
  • All shipping prices are quoted in US dollars.
  • The lead times posted on individual product pages are based on current product and/ or shipping lead times of our respective manufacturers. These lead times are not guaranteed. Availability of any product can be verified by calling 866-744-5166
  • Shipments are processed on business days only and do not include weekends and Holidays.
  • If you require signature service on any manufacturer, please place your order with a sales representative at 1-866-744-5166. Signature service is not included in our default shipping service, and Bowery Lighting cannot be liable for items lost in shipment.

Bowery Lighting will not cover any additional shipping fees due to the additional services provided at the time of delivery. This includes indoor delivery of products shipped via freight companies and rerouting packages to addresses different than the "ship to" address provided on the initial order.

Shipping outside the continental United States

Bowery Lighting does not offer free shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico or international destinations. To ship to these areas you must provide your own shipping methods or shipping account numbers.

Accepting your Delivery

Before accepting your delivery, you are required to inspect each and every box for damage or missing items. Accepting delivery of a shipment is your confirms that the item(s) were received in 100% usable condition and that you have received every item as listed on the package. If you are not required to sign for a shipment, and you received damaged goods, please contact the carrier immediately to refuse the shipment.

Once an order is delivered and accepted, the return options for that order become limited. Any damaged or missing items not noted at the time of delivery must be reported within 5 business days of receiving the shipment.

If you discover damaged products upon opening a shipment, please contact Customer Service immediately to take appropriate action to resolve the matter. (You will receive an email response in 24-48 hours.) A claim will be filed with the carrier to credit for the damaged fixture. We will gladly replace your fixture at no cost. If you would like to return the damaged product with no replacement, there will be a reduced 25% return fee for the product. If the replacement product is backordered we will retrieve the damaged product and issue a credit.

All Damaged or defective items must be reported in writing, either through the "contact us" portion of the website, or via phone at 866-744-5166.

Clearance and Closeout Items

All sales of clearance and closeout items are final.

Return Policy

We offer refunds on unused merchandise excluding associated return fees. Return fees include:

  • associated shipping charges
  • restocking fees charged directly from manufacturers for return of product.

These fees may vary.

The following items may be returned:

  • Products must be new, unused, unaltered (with no clipped wires).
  • Contain all original product packaging and accessories.
  • Must be packaged properly, in original packaging, and in salable condition.
  • Products must have been received less than 20 days ago
  • Orders of 10 or more of the same product can not be returned.
  • Replacement Glass & Shades.

The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns:

  • Orders over $2000 with multiple products
  • Custom orders or product not on the website
  • Orders with customized quotes, special discount items purchased with a promotional code, clearance items, closeout items or used our "Best Price" feature.
  • Any expedited shipping cost
  • Custom made orders
  • Discontinued products
  • Orders received over 20 days ago
  • Individual products under $30.00
  • Orders for bulbs
  • Products from House of Troy cannot be returned unless received defective
  • Thomas Lighting, Emerson, and Grok will not accept returns if the box has been opened. These are the policies of the manufacturers.

Return Process

Follow the directions below:

  • Send an email to Customer Service for a return authorization number.
  • Customer Service will inform you of return fees for specific manufacturers.
  • Customer Service will issue an RMA# and provide a return address.
  • Credits will be issued within 21 days from receiving the product.
  • Credits will not be issued for products damaged during shipment.

Refunds

Please note, we will refund or pay shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error. The crediting process will begin once the product has been received and inspected. Credits will not be issued for products damaged during return shipment, and you will responsible for filing a claim with the shipper. Please allow 21 days for processing of credits. To begin processing a return please email Customer Service. (You will receive an email response in 24-48 hours.)

Privacy Policy

Bowery Lighting is committed to protecting your privacy. Any information you provide us will not be given or sold to any outside party, except the manufacturer responsible for shipping your items. We only share your address and phone number with the manufacturer responsible for shipping your order and is used only for the processing and shipment of the order. Your phone number is used only to contact you in case of a problem with the fulfillment or delivery of your order. The email address you provide is used only to provide you with an order confirmation and tracking number. Beyond that you reserve the right to optin to our mailing and have the ability to optout at anytime. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our privacy policy please contact us, so we can address them.

Cancellation

If you would like to cancel an order, you must call us at 1-866-744-5166 or send us an email stating that you would like to cancel it. Orders can only be cancelled if they have not entered the shipping process. "Shipping Process" can mean it was picked and prepared to ship from our warehouse or that the item(s) you have ordered has left the manufacturer's warehouse and it is on the way to be delivered to our warehouse. Once it is picked and ready to ship from the manufacturer it can not be cancelled without paying a restocking fee. If your credit card has been charged but your order has not entered the shipping process, your order may be cancelled and credited . If your order has entered the shipping process (either shipping to you, or ordered from a 3rd party that cannot stop the shipment), then you may not cancel an order. You may not cancel without a restocking fee.

All orders are considered open and active until you receive a cancellation number confirming that the order was canceled.

The following orders cannot be canceled at any time:

  • Individual products under $60
  • Orders with an invoice total greater than $2,000 or orders with 10 or more of the same item.
  • Custom-made items

Lowest Price Guarantee

Bowery Lighting values you as a customer and wants you to have the best price available. If you happen to find a lower online price, and meet the terms and conditions below, we will not only give you 100% of the difference, but an EXTRA 10% on top of it! That's 110% of the difference!

Price Guarantee Terms & Conditions:

  • The product must be the exact same make, model, and color as purchased at Bowery Lighting Company.
  • Certain items are excluded from the Price Guarantee.
  • The merchant offering the lower price must have the product currently in stock
  • The online merchant must be a Factory Authorized dealer and an established U.S. site, as determined by Bowery Lighting Company. Does not apply to auction sites
  • The merchant offering the lower price must have current prices listed on their site.
  • Price Guarantee applies to price of the item, prior to any shipping charges, handling fees, processing fees, taxes, etc.
  • Limited to three claims per customer in any 60 day time period
  • Limited to three of the same item number per customer
  • Does not apply to merchants offering factory-reconditioned, refurbished, closeout or previously returned items
  • Does not apply to merchants offering special promotions such as sale prices, rebate offers, coupon offers, quantity discounts, special orders and/or membership requirements for buyers and/or sellers
  • Price Guarantee applies to online orders only
  • We must be able to confirm the lower price, unconfirmed prices will not be honored
  • Bowery Lighting Company reserves the final right to determine eligibility for price guarantee
  • Price Guarantee is subject to change without prior notice 110% difference will be issued in the form of a Bowery Lighting Company store credit. You are eligible for up to $250 in store credit on future purchases at Bowery Lighting Company per 60 day time period

How to Request a Price Guarantee Match

To request a price match please email us at info@bowerylights.com. A price match specialist will respond within 3 business days. Please include the following information in your e-mail:

  • The Bowery Lighting Company item # you found a lower price on
  • The name of the online company you found the lower price at
  • The web address (link) to the lower priced item
  • The lower price found
  • The quantity of the item that you wish to purchase
  • Whether or not you have already placed an order with us. If you have please include your order date and order #

Sales Tax

We charge sales tax on all orders shipped to New York residencies. Qualified resellers are able to insert a tax exemption number during checkout. Sales tax is also applicable for orders including items shipping from a California warehouse to a California delivery address. This sales tax will be charged after items have shipped.
